After hours of searching the Internet and calling airports directly we decided to contact the travel agent our agency's program manager suggested. The travel agent was able to beat the lowest fare I was able to find:
7/24 leave JFK (NYC) at 4:30pm and arrive in Beijing 7/25 at 6:00pm
8/8 leave Beijing at 1:00pm and will be back in NYC 2:00pm
Yes, that is not a misprint. When you travel back to the USA you lose 12 hours.
