This afternoon the speech therapist came and evaluated Tessa. She saw some of the oral motor concerns we had but did not feel they were serious. She felt that Tessa’s diagnosis of hypotonia could be the cause of it. She also gave us some suggestions of things we could do to encourage Tessa to speak. Unfortunately she was unable to tell us whether Tessa qualified for speech therapy. If I had to guess I think she will qualify.
