Today I took Tessa for her first gym class. There were five other infants in the class ranging from 9-12 months. Tessa’s petiteness was very obvious. She was smaller in both size and weight when I compared her to the 9 month old. Overall Tessa did well. She seemed to enjoy being on the swing the most. For the last 10 minutes of class the parents have to leave the children with the staff. Tessa would not have it. She immediately crawled across the room to me. When the staff blocked the path she would every few seconds turn around to make sure I was still there. Finally they had to hide me from her view. As long as Tessa couldn’t see me she was able to be distracted and did fine.
